PRELUDE TO SPRING

The UCI Arboretum hosts its annual Winter Bulb Festival, ‘Prelude to Spring’.
Guests can enjoy abundant late winter bloom, including rare and unusual species bulbs of Gladiolus, Babiana, Watsonia and others in our Southern African Bulbs. Guests can also see early bloom in other parts of the garden, such as the Southern African perennial garden, aloe gardens, and the California gardens, including early native wildflowers in the Athalie Clarke Garden.
The event also features a plant sale of unusual late winter and early spring bulbs, perennials and succulents.
Admission is $2.00 per adult; children under 12 are free. There is ample free parking directly adjacent to the Arboretum.
The UC Irvine Arboretum is located just south of the corner of Campus Drive and Jamboree Road on the UC Irvine North Campus. For more information please call (949) 824-5833. |

The Friends of Shipley Nature Center will host the Third Annual Spring Festival at the Shipley Nature Center on Saturday, April 26 from 9 am to 2 pm. Admission is free.
The days activities will begin at 9 am with a Continental Breakfast, a California Native Plant Sale and the opening of the nature friendly Information Fair. A wide variety of community groups and businesses will be on hand to share useful and informative materials.
