What is a "Master Gardener"?

The Mission of the UCCE Master Gardeners of Orange County
The purpose of the University of California Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program is to extend research-based, scientifically accurate information to the public about home horticulture and pest management.
In exchange for the training and materials received from the University of California, Master Gardeners perform volunteer services in myriad venues, thereby sharing the information they have learned in the
Master Gardener Training Program with the gardening public.
